As IHI DALGAKIRAN, we attended the Japan Self-Defense Forces Day Reception held on September 10, 2026, at the official residence of the Embassy of Japan in Ankara, together with the IHI Corporation Istanbul Office.
Hosted by H.E. Masami Tamura, Ambassador of Japan to Türkiye, the reception highlighted the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Türkiye and Japan.
H.E. Yaşar Güler, Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye, attended the reception as the guest of honor. The event also brought together Turkish government and military officials, diplomatic representatives, and around 300 guests who are actively involved in Türkiye-Japan relations.
In his speech, Ambassador Masami Tamura highlighted the recent development of defense cooperation between Türkiye and Japan and expressed his commitment to further developing bilateral relations in areas such as security, education, and the economy.
Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler also spoke about the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Türkiye and Japan and emphasized the importance of further developing relations between the two countries in different areas.
